Let’s talk colon hydrotherapy! Let’s move on to the facts. The combination of depression and constipation is a well-known fact in medicine. Many people experience diarrhea when they are anxious and stressed. Maybe you remember that before an important test or after a tense conversation with your superiors, a policeman on the street, a spouse, or someone else, you felt a “butterfly” in your stomach and an urge to run to the toilet. But there is a two-way road. Not only does the brain affect our gut, brain health is linked to digestive health. It has the medical term “Gut-Brain Axis.”
Knowledge on the topic is growing rapidly as researchers strive to solve the mystery. And it really is a puzzle. By comparison, the human gut has the highest cell density. It is now known that there are many times more microorganisms in the intestines than human cells. They live, breathe, eat, communicate with each other, and produce waste inside our bodies
Simply put, there are three types of microorganisms in our intestines; beneficial, harmful, and opportunistic. Good bacteria are vital to us. They aid digestion, boost immunity, balance hormones, and control the growth of opportunistic infections. Here’s what’s amazing: good bacteria positively affect our brains. They can improve mood and lessen depression and anxiety, reduce cravings and help with weight loss, suppress addiction to alcohol and drugs, and restore sleep and cognitive function.
How come? They affect brain messengers- neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, GABA, and glutamate. You may not know that beneficial gut bacteria produce more serotonin than the brain. Serotonin is responsible for our mood, sleep, appetite, and memory.
The “good” bacteria is a very important and often neglected internal organ that keeps opportunistic pathogens such as bacteria, Candida-yeast, and parasites in check. The best analogy is criminals in a big city. We cannot eradicate criminals. But if you remove the police and law enforcement officers from the streets, crime grows. Unfortunately, we very often rid our best friends and guards of opportunistic infections by overusing antibiotics. Even one course of antibiotics removes beneficial bacteria from our intestines. Antibiotics are everywhere in our products. Pesticides, preservatives, and other toxic chemicals in processed foods also kill the good bacteria in our gut. We feed our enemies on the inside with sweets, sugary sodas, alcohol, and simple carbohydrates. Some medications, such as steroids, immunosuppressants, birth control pills, and gastric acid suppressors, lead to an overgrowth of opportunistic infections in our intestines.
If there are fewer “good” bacteria, this leads to an overgrowth of Candida-yeast in the colon. Candida produces many mycotoxins. “Myco” means fungus in Latin. It causes huge problems in the digestive, hormonal, immune, and musculoskeletal systems and, of course, in the brain. Brain fog, bad mood, anxious behavior, sleep disturbance, and poor memory are just some of them. Candida is a big imitator. In many situations, people with Candida overgrowth are psychically labeled and have been on antidepressants for years.
What should be done? Restoring beneficial gut bacteria is indeed the solution! “I take probiotics and eat yogurt,” some of our patients proudly say. Not so fast. The restoration of good bacteria is a complex biological process. Look. if a farmer wants to grow a crop of vegetables, he will not plant seeds in dry, toxic soil full of insects and parasites. It is very important to create an environment for good bacteria to grow, colonize and thrive inside the colon.
What about probiotics and yogurt?
Many yogurts are pasteurized before they hit the market. There are no bacteria there. Unless it is pasteurization, yogurts’ lactic acid bacteria counts are very low, and the microbial strains are not meant for humans. Probiotic manufacturers use marketing tools such as the number of bacteria per serving: 30 billion, 50 billion, and so on. Firstly, these “billions” are for the time of manufacture. Later, the number of bacteria decreases. Secondly, the quality of probiotics depends on the ability to move through the aggressive environment of the stomach and small intestine and the ability to form colonies in the large intestine. Biotherapy Complete Probiotics Formula passes this test and is widely used by doctors and healthcare professionals in the US.
Candida-yeast is the oldest and most intelligent microorganism on earth. When possible, Candida enters the large intestine, forming colonies covered with a special biofilm. You can take a ton of probiotics, but good gut bacteria can’t attach to the intestinal wall. For instance, can you imagine the parking lot in front of the medical office, which was taken over by bandits so that people could not enter the office? The only way to solve this problem is to call the police and tow the bad guys out of the parking lot.
In the case of Candida overgrowth, colon hydrotherapy comes to the rescue. Cleanse, purify, and warm water washes away biofilm and colonies of harmful microorganisms and opens the intestinal walls for beneficial bacteria to attach. In addition, colon hydrotherapy removes mycotoxins and waste products from the colon, creating a healthy environment for beneficial intestinal flora to thrive. Many of our clients feel refreshed and in a good mood after colon hydrotherapy. Colon cleansing with water has been used for 4,000 years. Modern equipment and well-trained staff make this procedure safe and effective in restoring the health of the colon, liver, brain, kidneys, skin, etc.
